Q1     WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE QUIAD-E_AZAM FROM THE LESSON ‘PAKISTAN ZINDABAD’ ?

 (ANS)  The quaid-e-azam is the founder and the father of the nation. He was a man of sterling qualities. He started his poltical career by joining the congress party but soon he left the party when he came to know the actual polticies of the hindus. After leaving congress he joined the muslim league in 1913, and started a long struggle for the cause of pakistan his greatness lies in the integrity of his character. He dreamt of a separate and independent homeland for the muslim of india,where in the muslims as well as hindus could pratice their respective religious beliefs without any distrubance or threat from each other.

 Q2:  Who was the first Governor General of Pakistan?

AnsThe Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the first Governor General and the originator of Pakistan. He was made the first Governor General of the nation; he sacrificed his life to lay its foundation, in appreciation of his life long, selfless and committed struggle. The position of the Governor General was the highest position in the beginning of the history of Pakistan Later on it was changed with the President of Pakistan


Q3Why was the Quaid-e-Azam not feeling proud even after receiving a warm welcome by the thriving sea of the people?

Ans:Though the Quaid-e-Azam was happy on the creation of an independent state for the Muslims, for which he sacrificed his whole life, yet he was not excited mainly because, perhaps he was thinking of hundreds of thousands of the Muslims being killed and kidnapped while crossing the roads and railways to reach their new destination, Pakistan The Muslims were cruelly targeted, killed, kidnapped, looted, rapped and set to fire, while migrating and crossing the newly demarcated borders

AnsThe Quaid-e-Azam as the first Governor General of newly established state of Pakistan addressed his people, gathered to welcome him after the independence, "You are free, you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosque or to any place of worship in the state of Pakistan You may belong to any religion or caste or creed... We are all citizens and equal citizens of one "State" in this speech the Quaid-e-Azam was reminding them the last sermon and the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) that all humans are equal in the eyes of God. Superiority, if any, bases not on dynasty, caste, creed or colour, but on piety and good deeds. 

Q5Why did the Muslims of India demand a separate state?

AnsThe Muslims of India demanded a separate state of their own because Hindus of were not ready to give equal rights to the Muslims. In a dominant majority of Hindust is three to one, the Muslims could hardly imagine of their economic well being. Already economically and educationally backward Muslims could hardly compete with Hindus economically, educationally stable and favourites of the ruling English people. Bes the demand for a separate homeland was not merely in the interest of Muslims but in the interest of Hindus as well, who would have been constantly under threat by a strong and vast minority as Muslims.

Q6 ; What meaning proposes the name "Pakistan"?OR What does the word Pakistan mean and who invented it?

AnsThe meaning of Pakistan is a holy living place as, Paks, which means the spiritually pure and clean and Stan means the residing place. Pakistan' is a word taken for regional languages Urdu and Persian. The word was first used ludicrously by the Hindus in ther newspapers. However, the word was coined by a Cambridge student, Chaudhry Rahma Ali.

Q7 ; People of the newly created country welcomed "Dawn" newspaper during the struggle for Pakistan. Why?

Ans: Though there were many newspapers at that time but all were owned either by the Hindus or the British. There was no newspaper of Muslims to give true and impartial information of the events. The Dawn newspaper was founded by the Quaid-i-Azam, the people of Pakistan welcomed the paper of their own, as the true representative of their desires and problems.

 Q8Why did Kashmir not join Pakistan?

AnsKashmir could not join Pakistan, mainly because of the Hindu Maharaja who owned Kashmir and treacherously sold it to India and kept his Muslim subjects away from Pakistan, against the true desires and wishes of the Kashmiri people. Despite almost six decades past, the Kashmir issue remains unsolved, partly due to the negligence of International community and mainly because of the high handedness of the aggressive neighbour, India.

Ans: Pakistan resolution was passed in Lahore on 23 March, 1940. The Pakistan Resolution decided not to accept any plan and not to succumb to any power that opposed the creation of Pakistan and division of India into two parts based upon Hindu and Muslim population ratio. It declared that the Muslim majority states be included in Pakistan and the regions of Hindu majority be included in India, so that the Muslims as well as Hindus have the freedom to practice their religious beliefs without any religious threats,

Ans:The Lahore Resolution, later known as the Pakistan Resolution, passed at Lahore on 23rd March, 1940 bears a deep impact on the movement of Pakistan and in the history of the struggle of Pakistan. Pakistan resolution publicly reflected the demands and desires of the Muslims of subcontinent for a just and justifiable division of subcontinent into two separate nations based on religion. This resolution provided the Muslims a direction and destination to effectively streamline their energies towards a well defined and clear objective of a movement. Thus the Resolution of Pakistan proved a prelude for the Independence and foundation of a separate homeland of the Muslims.

Ans:  The population of Pakistan at the time of independence was approximately seventy million. On the world globe Pakistan emerged as the fifth largest nation and biggest Muslim country in the world.

 ANS : It was said by the Quaid-e-Azam, in the capacity of the first Governor General of the newly established state of Pakistan. He was a great statesman besides a freedom fighter.After freedom, it requires to maintain freedom. Because the Quaid wanted to maintain the friendly relations between two new states, despite the history of stressed relations, he Wanted to bury the hatchet, and build friendly relations between two hostile countries.

Ans:Prosperity follows peace. The objective and dream of the Quaid of a separate homeland was the well being and prosperity of the underprivileged Muslim people, which was almost impossible without peace. The Quaid-e-Azam begged for the peace to bring prosperity in the region. Throughout life he disliked and opposed violence of whatever kind. Instead of remembering the stressed hostile history, the Quaid offered the neighboring country of India, to forget the past and build a friendly future in the interest of the people of respective countries.

Q18Why was the Quaid-e-Azam justified in declaring," No power on earth can prevent Pakistan"?
Ans: The enthusiasm and determination of the Muslims of sub-continent to get their separate homeland was the key to the creation of Pakistan. The historic events have proved that during the struggle all the Muslims were rock-firm and resolved to achieve freedom from the English and the dominance of Hindu majority. Sensing the resolve, determination and unity of the Muslims, the Quaid could not help announcing that "No power on earth cam prevent Pakistan". 

Q19What made the Muslims stand by their decision?
ANS: Unity, Faith and discipline made the Muslims stand by their decision. The long history of exploitation and deprivation by English rulers and Hindu majority, the Muslims realized that the solution of their misery and backwardness was not only freedom from British rule but also from Hindu majority, who would never allow Muslims to prosper. any how. This is why they were resolved and united in their decision.

Q20Why did the Congress leaders spend most of the Second World War in prison?
Ans: The Quit India Movement was a Civil disobedience movement launched in India on 8 August 1942 by Gandhi. Congress leaders on dint of their mass civil disobedience movement were arrested indiscriminately, as the English were not prepared to leave India till the end of the war. Therefore the Congress leaders spent most of the Second World War period in prisons. The Quaid on the contrary availed the opportunity and worked to contact with the Muslims in the nook and comer of the country. He established "Dawn" news paper too.

Q21What made the Quaid-i-Azam sad after the Independence of Pakistan?
Ans: On the one hand he was worried about the atrocities committed against the migrating people, but mainly the Quaid was very much worried and concerned about the fate of Kashmir, the K in word Pakistan, The Hindu Maharaja against the desires of Muslim subjects handed over it to India. It made a fatal blow on the already sick and septuagenarian Quaid.

Q22Where is the tomb of the Quaid-e-Azam? What does it mean that he is buried in the hearts of the people?
Ans:His people buried him in Karachi (in the heart of the city). Though the Quaid-e-Azam has died but his memory would continue to live in the hearts of people to whom he had given a sense of liberty and life of dignity in a separate homeland of their own.
